Product Description :

3M Opticlude Orthoptic Eye Patch Adult (1539) for occlusion therapy consists of a soft non-adherent pad bonded to a skin-friendly breathable and conformable backing coated with a hypoallergenic adhesive. The dressing is breathable and conforms to body contours.

3M Opticlude orthoptic eye patch is a convenient eye patch used for treating childhood strabismus (lazy eye syndrome), amblyopia as well as for squint correction. Worn over the preferred eye, the opticlude eye patch encourages the weaker eye to function. It has been specifically designed for sensitive skin and hence does not cause irritation. It also allows free movement of the eye lids and can fit easily behind glasses.

Moreover, 3M opticlude eye patch comes with fun tattoos that can be used on the eyepatch to ensure better acceptance among kids. thus it can help the young patients recover from lazy eye syndrome the fun way. 

Intended Use : 3M Opticlude Orthoptic Eye Patch is used in eye occlusion treatment of Amblyopia and Strabismus in children.

Instructions For Use:
Application

1. For best adhesion, first clean and dry skin. Remove paper liner from the eye patch
2. Gently close both eyes keeping facial muscles relaxed. Wrinkles around the eye should be avoided.
3. Apply 3M Opticlude Orthoptic Eye Patch with the narrow end towards the nose. Do not stretch the patch, or pull skin.
4. Secure the pressure sensitive adhesive tape by applying light pressure with fingertips around the outside of the eye patch.

Removal :

1. At the nose side of eye patch, grasp and loosen the outer edge of the eye patch.
2. Support the skin with your fingers. Remove the tape low and slow, peeling the eye patch towards the ear, keeping it close to the skin surface and pulled back over itself. Please be aware that removing the eye patch at an angle will pull the skin surface and increase the risk of redness and irritation.
3. As the patch is removed, continue to support the newly exposed skin.
4. For a patch that is strongly adhered, you may consider using a medical grade adhesive remover or moisturizer (approved for use around the eye) to soften the adhesive along the peel edge.
