Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose Test Strips (Pack of 100 - 2x50) are made for use with the Accu Chek Active Glucometer to quantitatively measure blood glucose (sugar) levels in all types of blood samples (fresh capillary, venous, arterial, and neonatal) for self testing use by people with diabetes and for near-patient testing by healthcare professionals.

People with diabetes may use fresh capillary blood from the fingertip or alternative sites. Healthcare professionals may also use venous blood anticoagulated with lithium heparin or ammonium heparin or EDTA, arterial blood, and neonatal blood.

Accu-Chek Active System with Accu Chek Active Test Strips is indicated to monitor glucose in diabetes mellitus. Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose meter requires 1-2 μl of blood volume on a Accu-Chek Active Test Strip to perform test.

Accu-Chek Active Test Strips are also available in 10, 25 and 50 strips packing.

• Measuring time: If the test strip is in the meter, when you apply blood, the test takes approximately 5 seconds. Otherwise, if you remove the test strip from the meter and then apply blood, the test takes approximately 8 seconds (Out of meter dosing).

• Shelf Life: Test strips are stable (even after opening) until the expiry date printed on the test strip vial. Note: Test strip container must be tightly closed after each strip is removed.

• Sample dosing: Blood application on to the middle of the test pad. The test strip (and its components) has the function to spread the blood above the test area – in a quick and hygienic way.

• Dosing options: Blood can be applied to both an already inserted test strip, or a test strip outside the meter. This is helpful to minimize the risk of contamination when a meter has multiple users (e.g. in a hospital) and, in case of AST, to facilitate blood application.

• Re-dosing capability: Additional blood can be added to the test strip within 10 seconds after applying the first drop (applies for inside mode).

• Hematocrit range: 20 – 55 % (within-meter mode), 20 – 70 % (outside-meter mode).

Direction for Use :

1. There is no setup required – just insert a test strip in glucometer.
2. Prick your finger with the lancet to draw out a blood drop.
3. Carefully apply the blood drop onto the green field of the test strip.
4. Read the blood glucose result appeared on meter.
