Dr Morepen Gluco One Blood Glucose Monitor (BG-03) is a handy medical device that can be carried anywhere for determination of blood glucose (sugar) level in the whole blood.

Intended Use : This Dr. Morepen BG-03 Gluco One Blood Glucose Monitoring System is for the quantitative measurement of the concentration of glucose in whole blood by diabetic patients or health professionals as an aid in the management of diabetes. It is intended for using outside the body (in vitro diagnostic use), and not intended for use on neonates or arterial blood.

Test Principle of Dr Morepen BG-03 Glucometer : Glucose on the blood sample reacts with glucose oxidase (GOD) on the test strip and a harmless DC electrical current is produced. This current is measured by the Dr. Morepen Gluco One Blood Glucose Monitoring System and is displayed as your blood glucose result. The strength of these currents changes with the amount of glucose in the blood sample. Gluco One automatically interprets this reaction.

Instructions For Use :

• BATTERY INSTALLATION

1. Open the battery compartment given at the back of the meter & place the battery with '+' symbol facing up.

• SETTING UP LANCING DEVICE

1. Unscrew and open the cap of the lancing device.
2. Insert a new lancet firmly up to the bottom of the lancet carrier.
3. Twist & remove the cap of the lancet to expose the needle. (keep the cap aside, do not throw it).
4. Close the lancing device by pulling back its cap.
5. Adjust the depth required by pricking as per thickness of the skin.
6. Hold the tip of the device firmly in one hand & pull out the sliding barrel with the other hand to load the device.

• MONITORING BLOOD GLUCOSE USING DR MOREPEN GLUCOMETER

1. Insert the strips into the meter's strip slot with the white arrow pointing towards the meter and facing upwards.
2. When the flashing blood symbol appears (in 3 seconds), the meter is ready for you to apply blood glucose test strips.
3. Use your lancing device to obtain a blood drop. Hold it against the side of the finger. Press the release button to prick & obtain a blood sample.
4. Touch the blood drop to the sample channel at the end of the strip. The blood is drawn into the test strip automatically. Continue to touch the blood drop to the end of the test strip until you hear the beeper.
5. After the beeper sound, the meter will count down from 5 to 1, and your blood test result will be displayed.
6. Remove the used lancet from the lancing device. Push its needle into the lancet cap that was kept aside, so that it does not harm anyone and then discard the lancet.
