ConvaTec DuoDerm Hydroactive Gel (30g) is a hydrogel mainly designed for the hydration and management of partial and full thickness wounds. It is preservative free, safe for all and supports the natural healing process of body.

DuoDERM® Gel from ConvaTec is a sterile gel composed of natural hydrocolloids (pectin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) in a clear, viscous vehicle. DuoDERM Gel forms a moist wound environment that is supportive of the healing process by aiding autolytic debridement and allowing non-traumatic removal of the secondary dressing without damaging newly formed tissue.

Indications For Use :

DuoDERM Gel is designed for the hydration and management of partial and full-thickness wounds such as pressure sores, leg ulcers and diabetic ulcers.

The duoderm hyrdoactive gel can also be used for dry, necrotic, sloughly or granulating wounds and bed sores.

Contraindication :

Do not use on individuals with a known sensitivity to the gel or its components.

Wear Time :

Maximum recommended wear time is seven days for ConvaTec DuoDerm Hydroactive Gel.

ConvaTec DuoDERM Hydroactive Gel is a clear, sterile, viscous hydrogel that incorporates a unique ConvaTec hydrocolloid formulation that distinguishes it from other hydrocolloid dressings.

With Hydrocolloid Technology, DuoDERM gel creates an optimal moist wound healing environment and makes it ideal as a filler for dry cavity wounds.

The advantages of a moist wound-healing environment include improved healing rate, increased epithelialization, reduced infection, enhanced collagen synthesis, and the earlier appearance of more macrophages in the wound bed.

Hydrogel does the same job as a hydrocolloid dressing, protecting the wound to prevent bacteria from forming or spreading. Its sterile tube ensures uncontaminated contents and ease of application.

Latex and preservative free

Instructions For Use :

1. Cleanse the wound site, rinse well and dry the surrounding skin.
2. Unscrew the tube cap and remove the white safety ring.
3. Replace the cap to puncture the tube membrane.
4. Apply DuoDERM Gel directly into the wound. Do not fill the wound beyond the level of the surrounding skin.
5. DuoDERM Gel should be changed when the cover dressing leaks or is removed for routine dressing changes.
