Mepilex (10cm x 10cm) by Molnlycke is a soft silicone foam dressing specially designed to uniquely conform and stay on. 

Mepilex is a highly conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate, maintains a moist wound healing environment and minimises the risk for maceration. The dressing has a Safetac® wound contact layer that is a unique adhesive technology. It minimises pain to patients and trauma to intact skin or wounds at dressing removal.

Mepilex is a conformable foam dressing for a wide range of acute and chronic wounds  

Mepilex consists of:

1. a soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetec)
2. a flexible absorbent pad of polyurethane foam
3. an outer polyurethane film which is breathable but waterproof

Indications for use :

Mepilex is intended for a wide range of exuding wounds such as pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, traumatic wounds e.g. skin tears and secondary healing wounds. Mepilex can be used as a protection of compromised and/or fragile skin and may also be used as part of prophylactic therapy to help prevent skin damage, e.g. pressure ulcers.

Instructions for use : 

Mepilex Dressing can be used by lay persons under the supervision of health care professionals.
