Aquacel Foam Adhesive Sacral Dressing (20cm x 16.9cm), Ref #420626 from ConvaTec is a self-adherent soft foam sterile wound dressing (the only foam) that offers comfort and simplicity plus the healing benefits of an Aquacel interference.

ConvaTec Aquacel Foam Dressing is the complete all in one foam dressing with an AQUACEL wound contact layer powered by Hydrofiber Technology.
Hydrofiber® Technology is a soft, absorbent material that transforms into a gel on contact with wound fluid. This gelling action creates an optimal environment for wound healing.

ConvaTec Aquacel Foam Sacral Dressing has been designed to use as a primary or secondary dressing for the management of a wide range of chronic and acute exuding wounds located on the sacrum area.
Convatec Aquacel Foam Dressing consists of a protective film, a soft foam layer, an aquacel ag layer and a gentle silicone border.
Aquacel Foam Sacrum Adhesive Dressing (20cm x 16.9cm) has a 11.4cm x 13.5cm pad.
Indications For Use :
Aquacel Foam dressing is indicated for treatment of:
• Leg ulcers
• Pressure ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Surgical wounds
• Partial thickness burns
• Traumatic wounds etc.
Contraindication :
Aquacel Foam dressing should not be used on an individual who is sensitive to or who has had an allergic reaction to the dressing or any of its components.
Wear Time :
Maximum recommended weartime of ConvaTec Aquacel Foam Dressing is up to seven days.

Instructions For Use :
Standard Application For Wounds*
- Always ensure the skin surrounding the wound is clean and dry
- Choose a dressing size and shape to ensure that the central absorbent pad (area within the adhesive window), is 1/3 inch larger (1 cm) than the wound area
- Dressing can be cut to shape for convenience
- HOLD THE DRESSING over the wound and line up the center of the dressing with the center of the wound
- Place the pad directly over the wound
- Smooth down the adhesive border and hold in place to ensure adherence
Application For Protection or Wounds*
For difficult to dress anatomical locations, such as the sacrum, or heel, the specifically shaped adhesive dressing may be used.
Dressing Removal:
- The dressing should be changed when clinically indicated (e.g. leakage, bleeding, increased pain, suspicion of infection). Maximum recommended wear time is up to seven days.
- The wound should be cleansed at appropriate intervals.
- To remove the dressing, press down gently on the skin and carefully lift one corner of the dressing. Continue until all edges are free. Carefully lift away the dressing and discard according to local clinical protocols.
